Siegfried Mindel aus Bruck hat schon viele Kunstwerke geschweißt. Leider geht dieses alte Wissen verloren, sagt er.
Bruck.Zischend tritt die Flamme aus dem Schweißgerät. Aus Feuer und Metallstücken entstehen in der Hobbywerkstatt von Siegfried Mindel Kunstwerke. Alles ist von Hand gefertigt – im Gegensatz zu den großen Firmen, bei denen Metallarbeiten längst vollautomatisch von Robotern übernommen werden. Dabei könne man mit Metall doch so kreativ sein, sagt der 72-Jährige und hält das Schweißgerät an eine kleine Stahlplatte.
